Nina was hired at Urgent Care Express.

She was hired right out of school to do what she figured would be a simple job. Take vitals, document them in the chart, room the patient, fullfill the doctor orders. She went in to her first 2 weeks on the job as if to say “I got this”. Nina was FRESH OUT OF SCHOOL! There would be NO WAY she could have it all figured out. She was nervous, arrogant and wanted to work at a super speedy pace to prove her skills. Nina also didnt want to be told what to do and would answer “I know” when someone tried to help her. She would quickly get vital signs - a simple task. But a lot of her numbers were off! Her pulse ox would be unacceptably low, blood pressures, even though she obtained them, they were through the roof and she never alerted the clinician about these. UNACCEPTABLE! Nina FOOLED AROUND AND FOUND OUT! She was let go not because she wasnt capable but because she did not DEMONSTRATE HUMILITY, ABILITY TO LEARN AND PROFESSIONALISM OR SKILL. Everyone hated her and didnt want to teach her anything! DONT BE A NINA. Even though she got the job done, the quality of her work SUCKED! The physicians and clinitians didnt like or respect her work! She was pretty, popular with the patients but when charts were reviewed her popularity with managment soon went out the window. She wasnt teachable and noone wanted to teach her.
