Explaining things

How do you explain to the patient what you are doing for the clinician and why you are doing it? You pull from your knowledge. Your knowledge comes from your edcuation, experience and from the medical doctor that you work with. So, when you are asked a question you are not guessing. Your answer should be clear and it should exclude information that you truly do not understand. It should be clear to the patient that your knowledge is limited and that for further information and advise they should speak to the medical doctor or clinician that will be seeing them in a moment. NOW THAT’s BEING A PRO! Staying in your lane, be educated enough to provide the knowledge needed to answer the patient’s question and directing the patient to ask the medical doctor the question and asking for yourself later if necessary.
